CSI Miami: Open Water

In all my years of travelling overseas, staying in hotels, eating at restaurants, playing at arcades, watching movies and shows, this has been the ultimate trip.

I think it would be close to the undisputed winner of the most enjoyable trip ever. Normally when you go on holiday, you would have to book a hotel, look for food, walk around for entertainment, explore the city for shops, then come back to your hotel room to crash on your very cheap, very smelly hotel bed. In this case, the cruise ship had all of those things and more. We didn't really have to 'leave' the ship itself to get things like this because it was in the ship itself. Lemme just name some of the 'highlights' of the facilities on board.

  • The nice clean beds,
  • the cozy toilet (with shampoo and soap in dispensers. So very cool =P),
  • the elevators (3 'groups' of elevators with each group consisting of 3 elevators) bringing us up and down the 13 deck ship,
  • the on board entertaining which included a very cozy cinema and a theatre which had balconies on either side,

  • the arcade hall where I spent $30 playing many shooting games in preparation for the Police force ( =P haha, lame.. I know. But I rock!),

  • the gym, 2 'Aqua jet pools,' swimming pool with 4 Jacuzzis at each corner of the pool,

  • the massive restaurants, one of which was easily half the size of a soccer field (very very big!)
  • the great expensive buffet food which was all free (even at the restaurants, they were all buffet meals),
  • the mightily expensive locker in the males changing room which I will describe in my posts to come,

  • and of course, the very comfortable seats all around the ship.

Sadly, it was raining lightly during the first night and morning we were on board so I couldn't really get any good pics outside during that time. But that was when those nice comfortable seats all around the ship came in. I was able to sit comfortably as I snapped a few pics at one go. No wonder it's so fun to be the paparazzi. =P hehehe snap snap snap. ^^

Overall, the trip was one of the best that I have ever been on. I will want to do it again for sure because it is so very worth it. For $300, it really was worth the money. The food that we ate. The entertainment we had, it was great. It was definitely worth more than $300. We basically ate hotel food with an unlimited order but our stomach and the 2 hour time limit were our limitation so we had to stop some where. Or I had to stop somewhere.

Anyway, to sum it all up, I strongly recommend everybody to go for a cruise some day. If not this ship, then some sort of other cruise, but I strongly recommend this one because it was awesome! It's ranked 3rd biggest in the world, so unless you go to somewhere like Bahamas to ride the biggest cruise ship in the world called MS Freedom of the Seas, then you should at least come to Asia to ride Star Cruises Virgo. The best for me.

One day I will go back. But for now, I will get the pics up as soon as I can. I have posted them all (210 of them. You might wanna take your time if you wanna see them) on my MSN Space (some are blurry and I apologise for that. I only discovered later in the trip how to make it clear ;P) and a few of the ones I can highlight here on blogger. I will also try to do a 'walk thru' of what I did and stuff. =P If I have the determination to do it. hehehe

ahaha, cos i saw the mirror/reflection of myself and if i took a pic of me holding the camera smiling at the reflection of myself, i reckon it could look even more silly. ahaha, at least w/ the camera blocking the face, it's still 'acceptable' =P
I did take pics of myself anyway, just that i didn't post them up.

The 'younger looking' lady is my mum. The 'older looking' lady is my grandma. =) In all, it was just the 3 of us.

The cruise was actually 2 days 2 nights. They kinda cheated the 3 days concept by boarding the ship at 8:30pm. So we wasted a lot of time.
I think the 'special occasion' on board the ship was simply Chinese New Year. besides that, I dont' think there was anything else happening.

><" I don't like to think aobut work now. I'm still in a cruising mood ^^
