See Spot Run

I've inserted a music file, Nella Fantasia, into my blog on the column to the right. It's sung by Il Divo. I first heard them sing when they did the theme song for the World Cup 2006 when they sang 'Times Of Our Lives' with Toni Baxton. After that, I was pretty much hooked into their singing style and from then on, I tried to retreive as many songs done by them as possible.

But this one. This one song sung by them has caught me. I don't really care if you guys hate this song or don't really care much for it, because I love it. It's up there as one of my favourites. Very few songs that I listen to really makes me wanna listen to it over and over again and still make me wanna listen to it some more without me getting sick of it. I could picture myself driving some deserted road for a couple of hours listening to this music looping over and over again and still enjoy every minute of it. hahaha, yeah, I could. But I don't wanna get sick of this song so I won't. Must listen in moderation! =D

I looked up the translation for the lyrics and even though I don't really like what they're saying, I still like it only because of the melody and the singing. The Italian words sound nice, but when translated, it sounds gay. So I'd just stick to the Italian version and try not to think about what they're saying. hehe

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the song too because I do. I've chosen not to auto-play it when you guys come on because it can get annoying when somebody else's music start playing when you go into their website. So I'll leave it to you guys. Just click the play button and have a good listen. Terribly sorry for those on dial up. If you wait a while, you could allow it to load then play it at one go. Believe me, if you don't mind classical music with 'proper singing', it's worth the wait XP

Well, I've decided to blog again because after tomorrow, I won't be blogging for a good 10 days so here I am again, blogging. About what? I dunno. Let's see what we can squeeze out of this big head of mine.

Today was the last Sunday I would play for the church band in a while. I've decided to take a few months break from the band because I need the break to 'recuperate'. So in the mean time, I'm just gonna focus on the police and recover whenever I come out during the weekends. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I also went swimming today after returning back from a long day at church and going out. Usually if I have to play for Sunday, I'll have to get up at 6:30am and get ready to leave the house by 7:15am or so because I have to go outside to have breakfast. So by the time I came back today, it was 6:30pm. From there, I went straight to the pool. But it was a mistake.

Firstly, there were too many people there. At 6:45pm, I thought many people would have gone home to have dinner or something. It was a fatal mistake because there were at least a few hundred people running around the entire complex and at least fifty people in the competition pool. I definitely couldn't swim properly because there were too many people in one lane! I couldn't be bothered anyway. Been a long day. So I just did several laps. I tried out more freestyle laps and more butterfly laps. Then after that, I attempted to tread water because my friend in church told me that he had to do that in the Academy for thirty minutes or so. Not too sure if they still do it now, but they probably will.

I can't seem to float on water anymore! I don't know why!!! Is it because I'm too heavy now? Does any body know how? Please tell me!!! It will be extremely useful for me! Thanks!
I just ended up slipping on my goggles (not too sure if I can wear them if they ask us to do it) as I bounced up and down the pool. I did that for a 15 minutes and figured I could go on forever, so if they asked us to do it with our goggles, I could do it. If they asked us to do it without goggles, it might be a bit harder.

Anyway, the second reason why it was a bad idea to go swimming was because my mouth was still 'sore'. The ripped skin in my mouth only ripped some more. When I jumped into the pool, it stung. Not to mention how flithy the pool is by now with all the people going in and out. I couldn't see the end of the pool because it was too 'cloudy'. ><" Yuck. But that wasn't he worse part. The worse part happened when I came out of the pool and went to dry myself off with my towel. I rubbed my head as usual. But what happened this time, was that when I accidentally rubbed my nose upwards, there was this amazing pain that surged through my body from torn skin in the mouth. I was so scared that I had torn it further. I'm still not sure if it's torn further but I'd rather not know. I just want it to heal quickly! ={ Also, for the first time in a very long while, I played some computer games at a LAN shop this afternoon after church with some church friends. I think I'm not so much a computer game player of a guy. I only like certain games and usually, I play in moderation because if I like it, I want it to last for a long time without me getting sick of it. But usually, I don't play much computer games.

Overall, I don't really 'enjoy' strategic type games where you have to think or build your land or something like that. Also, Role Playing Games are games that I tolerate. Usually these kinda games have a bit of action/fighting in it, so I quite enjoy that part where they're a lot of violence. But if it was just a game that involved lots of talking and lots of blabbing, I don't think I would choose to play that game on a daily basis - not unless it's a really good and interesting game.

However, the type of games I usually choose to play are those immediate action, immediate violence, immediate chaos type of games. Simply because it's awesome to cause all that chaos happen in a matter of seconds. Games that involve shooting and stuff - I like. I'm not saying I'm any good at it. As a matter of fact, I think I'm down right crap at 'em. But I don't care. As long as it's enjoyable, I like it. Even if it means having to die every single round, I don't mind. It's fun.

But on top of this, I prefer soccer video games. Especially if I'm given time to learn the game. Once I'm given that time, I believe I can be deadly. I remember back in Australia there was this one stage where I would score as many as 3 or 4 goals in one match against the World Class opponent. The only difference between computer players and human players is that computer players are so predictable. After a while, you can predict what they're gonna do. So after playing the computer for a while, you can tell when they're gonna tackle, and when the keeper is gonna be exposed.

But when you start playing with a human player, you think you can predict their movements, but the truth is, there is more 'indecisiveness' with the human players, and you can't seem to tell where or what they wanna do. Which is why it's a bit frustrating at times because you'd lose the ball from some silly mistake. Grrr.

Also, computer players don't come sliding from behind for a tackle.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of The Black Pearl

Left and right, aunties are pouring in the ang paus. I am not hesitant to accept. Simply because I am running low on pocket money and every single one of these ang paus will help. Now, everything is 'ok' again. I should be able to live off these ang paus for another few more months. After which, I will have to start to eat into my bank savings again.

Overall, the CNY break has been pretty good. A four day weekend, spending it with family, it was nice. I guess the same will happen in another year or so.

Last evening, Earl and I spent time with Florent as a final goodbye. We went to Earl's place to have dinner then we played soccer on the XBox. Initially, I was supposed to go down to Pastor's house for a CNY dinner. However, the dinner kinda clashed with our farewell dinner with Florent, so instead of going to Pastor's house, I chose to spend it with Earl and Florent. After all, Pastor's house will be here for as long as I'm here.

Initially, I was planning to go to pastor's house (which is approximately 1 hour from Earl's place), spend an hour or so there, then head off. We left the house at 3pm, got to the closest MRT station at 4pm, and took the bus that they told us to take. However, we didn't know where to drop off because they told us to look for this road which wasn't specified on the Bus Route Brochure. We sat on the bus, and waited and waited, eventually ending up at the bus terminal. By the time we were at the bus terminal, it was close to 5pm, and I was meant to meet up Earl and Florent at 6pm. No way was I gonna make it in time if I went to Pastor's house.
So I decided to take a taxi to the nearest MRT station and head back, as Amoz continued on to Pastor's place. Basically, I wasted my time and money going all the way down to Pastor's place and heading back. I didn't know that was gonna happen and if I knew we were not gonna find the place in time, I would have just stayed back. Oh well, things happen.

But I made the right choice. Going back to Earl's place was a choice I never regretted because I really enjoyed playing XBox and spending time with Florent and Earl. Maybe it was because I played pretty well and managed to beat the two of them in the closing stages of the night for the Konami Cup. In any case, it was very satisfying.

I can't help but start thinking about the cruise. It's so near. But I'm not focusing too much on the cruise because I know I have a few more days of work to go till I can actually leave the country. You could say I'm containing my excitement because there's no point getting all excited when I have to drag my so-very-depressed carcase through work first. One thing at a time.

In all honesty, I wasn't actually planning on bringing the camera on the cruise. I think I got all caught up by the thought of just wandering around by myself not having a care in the world of what is happening, I didn't stop to think about taking some photos during the cruise. But thanks to Sarah, she pointed out that I should take some photos during the cruise and I reckon it's a great idea! =P Thanks Sarah!
So hopefully when I return, I will have many photos for all of you to see!

I will try my best to take as many photos as I can. And I also promise that I will post a ridiculous number of photos on the blog so that you guys can be entertained. It will take a long time trying to get them all nice and pretty on the blog, but for you guys, anything. =P That is, provided I go 'camera-crazy'. ^^ Nevertheless, I reckon it will be cool!

I apologise for the very mundane blogging style during the last few posts. The reason being, there hasn't really been all that much to blog about. I try to blog about as many stupid and silly things as possible, but I think it's gotten a bit repetitive. At this time, I have to wait for the cruise to try to bring back some stories and then after that, it'll be another month of 'mundaneness', but after that, it'll be time for the army. I'm sure once I'm in the army, there will be very interesting stories that I can tell without breaching too many laws. I'll be crying as I get these stories for you guys to read because they'll probably torture us in the process. A great story right there.
But I'm sure there will be something more interesting to read than me retelling stories of having to control myself from regurgitating food from lunch and spewing it all over the work computer.
What can I say?

Around The World In 80 Days (Part 1)

I managed to type up two blog posts yesterday on my auntie's laptop while I was sitting alone with nothing to do. But after 'allowing the storm to pass,' I've decided not to post it. This is the reason why.

Yesterday, I was all depressed and lonely, so I took out a lot of my frustration and agitation on that blog post, which is why I don't wanna post it. I was pretty much sad that I was in Singapore and that I'll never see so many of my friends for a long time. I wasn't in a very happy mood. That was, until I called back home. It was so very nice to be able to call home. And to top it all off, I was so happy that Corliss and Sylvia was at my place. After talking to my parents, Chariz, and the two girls, I felt much better. It was really nice to hear their voices agian. I felt for that moment that I was at home for once. That I was with them for that brief period. It was very nice. I know you girls will be reading this, so I wanna thank you for the lovely chat :) I'm better now.

I think.

Anyway, I don't want to say too much about what has happened to me mentally, so I think I'll just blog on my journey here. But before I do, I'll say this. I remembered that Uncle Wesley blogged on his tendancy to view everything he did as a photograph. Like everything he does, he tries to find a 'good' angle to take a photograph. If you know what I'm talking about, I've recently caught myself doing the same thing. Or something like that; this time, it's with blogging. Everything I see, everything I do, I'm thinking of ways to blog on it. In a way, it's unhealthy because I can't enjoy the moment, but rather, my mind is constantly thinking of ways to blog on all the things I do. It's bad cause I wanna enjoy the things I do just as it is! So I've been trying to 'cut' down on what I view everyday as "something to blog about". In the mean time, I'll blog on what I should blog about; my journey here.

On the final day in Australia, dad woke me up as arranged at 6:30am to watch the Champions League; it was Man Utd v Benfica. After that, did some last minute file transferring on the computer and had breakfast at the same time. As soon as I finished, I quickly went on the PS2 to enjoy some last minute Fifa07 action. I had to swiftly complete what was left of the season, which meant skipping through many matches just to finish up. I played the last match in the ECC Finals, which ended 5-2 against Ajax. It was a thrilling victory. The match was at 2-2 for some time, until I finished them off with my 'skills'.
So after that, had lunch, and jumped on the computer to talk to some people for one last time. It's funny how there were so many things I did in Australia for the 'last time'. Like how I showered for the last time, drove for the last time, jogged for the last time, played for the last time, hugged for the last time, saw you for the last time. It all happened so quickly.

Saying goodbye to everyone, I decided to multi-task and pack all the left overs laying around in my room, like my soccer ball, documents, cosmetics, etc. I managed to pull everything I needed in time to leave at 3:15pm as planned. The flight was at 6:40pm, so I had a bit of time to spare. When we were going to the airport, there was heavy traffic on the highway. Everyone was moving at 20km/hr. Trucks, 4WDs, mini Getzs, everyone, all moving slowly...

In the end, there was no commotion. We simply crawled through the highway and gradually accelerated to 100km/hr again. It was not long after that we reached the airport at 5pm. The check-in line was really long. That was because I was kinda late. 2 hours till take off is not too good. My sis, mum and I stood in the line as we eventually reached the counter in 30 minutes. The lady then told me that I had to go to the boarding gate now. But my dad was like, "Nah, don't worry. Let's go buy some food first." We got a Bacon Deluxe at Hungry Jacks so that I could have something to eat as I am waiting to board. Unfortunately, I never really got the chance to eat. When I got to the boarding gate, I managed to make some final phone calls which meant by the time I finished, it was time to board.

I walked up to the boarding gate, and into the tube. Following the large crowd into the plane, I carried my two hand-carry luggage. As I approached the plane, I showed the stewardess my boarding pass and she directed me to the aisle I needed to take. I waddled my way to my seat, and when I got there, it was then that I realised, I was gonna be in the same row as this young lady which looked nice enough to try to act all cool. Sadly, my short hair gave me a disadvantage as I couldn't fling my hair as those cool people in movies do when they realise that they're in love. Anyway, I sat down, and tried to make it seem like I knew what I was doing. There and then, I discovered that this is all a part of growing up. Trying to make it look like I know what I'm doing when trying to impress girls. Watch out ladies! Here I come!
Oh boy.

To Be Continued...

13 Going On 30

The last thing I ever wanted right now is to fall sick. Unfortunately, that has happened, and on the day Emily and I were suppose to jog to her place. I am really sad that it had to be cancelled. I was really looking forward to running all the way to her place, despite it being 5000 light years away. It would have been fun to not jog alone for once. Sadly, I can't pretend that I am not sick because I sound pretty bad with my nose all clogged up. I mean, my mind still feels pretty strong and if I really wanted to, I could just jog anyway. I've done it before, but that was because I was very stubborn to admit that I was sick. So after considering the next few days that I have left in Australia, I've decided not to risk it.
I've decided to tune my activites down a bit because tomorrow night, we're going rollerblading as a final youth group event for the year. I really wanna go because, not only is it the only the final youth group event, but also the few 'activities' left in Australia with all of my friends. So I want to enjoy as many of them as possible. It's amazing how quickly time flies. I still can't come to terms with the fact that I only have a week left! Which is why I wanna go out as much as I can. This cold isn't helping..
The rollerblading place costs $8 to get in and $2 for the blades. In all, you get to skate for 3hrs and they usually hold many public games. I remember the last time we went, they had this skating race where they'd chuck several rollerblade wheels into the ring, and when they said go, we'd have to skate as quickly as we can to retrieve the wheels. Usually they'll have one or two less wheels so that the one who doesn't retrieve any wheels will be eliminated. If I am not mistaken, I lasted till the final 4 where I decided to stop because I fell too many times on my hips and butt, it was not worth it. Also, it wasn't fair because most of the contestants were these 'kid-workers' who are there every day skating, so they were so much better than me. If I see these guys tomorrow and they do it again, I'm not gonna bother playing. Won't end up getting anything anyway.

With rollerblading on the friday night, we're going to the beach the following day at who knows how early in the morning. We're going to go crabbing again, where it's 'legal' this time. The last time we went, it was illegal to use nets to catch any sea creatures. We didn't know and fortunately, no one told us off. This time round, it's legal, and now, we've got 4 crab nets in total. Yum yum dinner! Not sure what we'll do on the day actually. We'll let the parents do the 'sitting around and occasionally pulling up the crab nets to find if we've caught any crabs' job, and we'll probably just hang around the beach, perhaps do a bit of swimming. I think we'll 'hang' further down the beach because there were several fishermen near the area we were mucking around the last time we were there. Don't want a weird old man 'tugging' on me.

With all those plans for the future, let me recap on what happened last night at TimeZone.
We went to TimeZone again, and as usual, it was fun! I managed four Zone3 (laser challenge in a dark room) matches in a row, and I didn't feel too sore. Not as bad as last time. The last time I did it, I played five matches in a row and plus, I was pretty unfit back then. This time, no problems. That was, until I found the DanceDanceRevolution (DDR) game again. It had been ages since the last time I played DDR. When I was in Melbourne, Kat, Sam and I were tempted to go play it. But a group of geeky asians were hogging it. They were good, but they were geeky. This time, I was that geeky asian who was hogging it! I had forgotten how fun it is. Thankfully, the 'SuperSession' from Zone3 allowed us unlimited arcade action! We didn't know this until last night. We kept on going for an hour and thirty minutes. It was awesome. Game after game, I was like, "So, do you wanna play again?" hehe, I must do it again! Of course now, I'm feeling the effects of continuous DDR action.

Just a quick detour, I just realised while typing this blog entry, that I have a pretty good sense of time. Even though sometimes I make it sound like I roughly know the time which things happened, I actually know very well what time it happened. I just make it sound like I don't know the exact time because I don't want to be embarrassed in case I make a mistake while quoting the time when a certain event happened.
Am I making myself sound like a fool when I say this? I mean, if everyone can relate to this, so called 'gift', I feel like a fool to mention this. Anyway, this is what I just realised when I was typing just now.

Before I finish, I'll just like to point out that the wonderful, beautiful artwork above is from the gracious Uncle Wesley. If you ever need any wonderful, beautiful artwork, just find him. He's got everything you'll ever need ;) and I don't just mean photos..
